We aim for a steady weekly rhythm through the year, with extra seasonal notes when the weather or ground conditions change enough to matter. There's no fixed quota, we'd rather skip a week than rush a route we haven't properly checked.
What if a route in your guide has changed since publishing?
Paths get rerouted, gates get replaced and stiles disappear more often than people expect. Every guide carries a last-walked date, and if a reader flags a change, we go back and check it ourselves before updating the piece.
What's your correction policy?
If something in a guide turns out to be wrong or out of date, we correct it and note the change openly on the article, usually within 30 days of being told. We'd rather admit a footpath's closed than leave outdated advice standing.
How do we know the writers actually did what they say?
Every guide is written under a real name, not a house pen name, and carries the date it was last walked. Our fact-checking editor cross-checks the details against mapping and local reports before anything goes live.
