BrackenbywayContracting parties and scope of services
The service contract is concluded between the Brackenbyway workshop, located at Vožda Karađorđa 52, 18000 Niš, and an individual or legal entity ordering table crafting or restoration. The subject of the contract is the execution of artisanal woodwork according to the specifications agreed upon in the quote. These terms do not apply to mass industrial manufacturing or to the online sale of factory-finished products.
Scheduling inspections and issuing quotes
Appointments for table inspection or pickup are scheduled by phone or via the website form. The quote we provide includes a detailed description of the planned work, materials, completion timeline, and a fixed price. The quote is valid for 15 calendar days from the date of issuance. Work begins only after the client confirms the quote in writing or pays the agreed advance for the purchase of raw materials.
Work execution and premises access
Work is primarily carried out in the dedicated workshop facility due to technical requirements for drying and dust removal. The client is required to ensure unobstructed vehicle access and passage through residential or commercial premises for moving furniture in and out. For on-site interventions, the client provides access to electricity and a basic working environment free of hazards to craftsman safety.
Pricing, final payment, and invoices
All prices are stated in dinars and are based on the agreed specification. Payment of the remaining balance is made in full immediately upon completion of the work and inspection of the finished piece. We accept cash on site or payment to our business account according to the issued invoice. The workshop does not accept payment cards or online card payments.
Cancellations and rescheduling
Clients may reschedule or cancel a scheduled visit free of charge at least 24 hours prior to the agreed time. If the order is cancelled after the workshop has begun cutting timber or stripping old finish, the client covers the actual costs of procured materials and a proportionate share of the labor invested. Rescheduling the delivery date on our part is possible solely in the event of technical delays in the coating drying process caused by adverse weather conditions.
Liability, insurance, and complaints
The workshop is liable for any physical damage to the table that occurs during our transport or work in the workshop. Natural wood characteristics, such as slight variations in tone, growth rings, or minor material movement caused by seasonal indoor air humidity, are not considered workmanship defects. Complaints regarding visible surface defects must be recorded by the client upon table handover, while complaints regarding mechanism functionality are resolved within seven days.
Governing law and dispute resolution
All disputes arising from these terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia. The contracting parties will resolve any disputes amicably and through direct negotiations as a priority. If an agreement cannot be reached, the Basic Court in Niš has jurisdiction.
